As an engineering orientated person, that firewood machine is superb.

It makes me laugh that it has a "Danger" sign on it. Like we didnt know.

Having come across the term "cord" related to firewood quite often I looked it up.

A "cord" of firewood is a stack measuring 8 feet x 4 feet x 4 feet. (2.44m x 1.22m x 1.22m)

This equates to 128 cubic feet, or 3.6 cubic meters of wood.

That is a lot of wood.

We used to burn 3 to 4 cords per winter. It was the only heat we had.

If only our household fire places would conform with the famous E=mC2

Then we'd only need 3 toothpicks a year!

Nifty attachment. You can do about anything with a Bobcat. There used to be a landscaping supply place near here that sold firewood. They had some kind of giant machine that did the same thing. Had to load logs in it, was pulled by a truck. You could watch that thing for a long time, kind of like the Krispy Kreme line.
