Very nice gump! I take it this is a project you've been working on for a while?

What does BIIRA mean? Also - what's with the orange rear sprocket?

Love the music you put to the vid too!

Hi Avion, Yes I've been working on it for about 6 months, I bought a spare set of bodywork so as I could change back to original if I get bored with it!BIIRA is the British Iron International Riders Association,
the orange sprocket needs painting! I changed the gearing to a 19T on the front, and a 41T on the back and it came anodised orange!

Well Gumpt actually it looks quite good, showed the other half the photos and guess what ? Yep you guessed it , she wants a flagpole in the front garden. :ya2:

Ha, good on her! Look on ebay, telescopic flagpoles!

Sorry, two more questions gump.

Is that hood on the headlight standard Triumph OEM?

Also did you do the painting yourself?

...

The headlight visor is a third party accessory. These were quite common in the 50's and 60's.

Very nice Gump. One of our forum members from Florida has his Bonnie painted OD. He is a photographer and he did so because he travels and the color does not show the dirt and wear and tear so bad. Your sprung seat came out really well! I like it. Kudos. :y115:

Great finish Gump
for a chippie ya did well :ya2:
two things spring to mind however,
1) you need a black motor
2) dont walk to far away from it when you go riding in the hills, cos you'll never find it back.

As Carl said, the visor is a 3rd party accessory. As for the painting, I painted all the black parts associated with fitting the seat, all the rest was painted by my next door neighbour. He paints lorries for a living.

Very cool gumpt, love the video. What sort of reaction are you getting on the streets with this

Hi Dave, I went up to Hawes at the weekend, a popular bike meeting place in the Yorkshire Dales. I went with a mate of mine who has a Scrambler, and we parked right in the middle of the car park amongst the mainly race rep bikes. We sat outside the pub having some food, and there was soon a crowd of people round the Triumph's doing a lot of pointing and head scratching!
Most people seemed to like it, the thing what confuses them even more as to how old it is, is I have a 15yr old registration plate on it too!
