We'll the laptop died so I've had to get something else !
So I decided to get a tablet for a change and went for the 10" iPad , so far I'm loving it .
These app thingies are great ! and make finding your way round easy.
It's taking a bit of getting used to but I'm getting the hang of it.

COOL TUP TUP
My daughter and her husband each have one and I've been watching them use them which has made me quite interested - for a non-technical type of guy.
I like the portability and how you can use it around the house.

Well Shane, we went the other way.
Liz got an I Pad when I started spending more time at home as the pc lives at my corner of the lounge.
Her main requirement was for internet access for which it was adequate, however anytime she wanted to see a clip it was crap. Main reason,no flash player, and as long as apple and windows wont co operate you are always going to struggle.
After two years of grumbling at the machine,we replaced it with a win8 15.6 in laptop for a hundred bucks cheaper than the I pad cost.
The I pad is now in the grandkids toy box where it belongs.

Well I have the Samsung Tablet and I love it for what I use it for. I am on the move during the day so it is great to just use if I am sitting at a coffee shop to do my mail and log into TT. It would never replace my desktop or laptop but it sure is easer to use while on the move like I am. @shanered6 it has a default browser (Safari) that you can use here. If you don't like it there are other browsers you can download and try. I would rather keep away from TapaTalk as you lose the forum experience when using it.

Well, mmmm I bought my hubbie one for xmas a few years back and he does everything on it
including printing. The only downfall is the Flash Player but besides that it is excellent.
If you have apple TV, you hit the airplay link on your iPad you can watch or see what what is on your
Ipad on your TV.

My Daughter is in the Visa Industry and is on the road a lot seeing clients, she does all her business
on her Ipad away from the office. You even get windows office for iPads now.

Yup, I looooove my IPad, except for flash player and that is very very few clips I can not watch. I do everything as well with mine.
I love to play games but I am very finicky what I play. Tiger Woods is amazing, Pac Man, Pinball Arcade is out of this world, I even have the real flippers for pinball, and the real joy stick for PAC Man.

I think I will stick with the safari I've got used to that , but the versatility of the iPad is awesome being able to move about I love that.
Also being able to put a SIM card in it and use it like a phone , and I find the key pad easy to use.
