Hello from Texas! I've been riding mostly cruisers for years, and it's time to lighten up, literally! I'm shopping for a adventure/road bike to ride local twisties and occasionally tour. I'm 6'2" and I'll be checking out a Tiger 660 Sport and a Tiger 850 Sport this week. I welcome any advice or assistance you can share so that I make the best choice. Thanks!!

Tyler is surrounded by curvy, hilly roads through the woods. Nothing as dramatic as well-known places, but really nice, and too many good roads to count. It's part of the reason we're here.

I’ve been around Tyler mostly just passing through and not on a motorcycle. We have some Tiger owners here and I’m sure they’ll chime in at some point. Are you looking at new or used? I don’t own one, I have an older Thruxton, but the 660 Sport appeals to my eye. Hope you get the advice you need and find the Triumph you want to ride.

Welcome to TT from Eastern Canada.
I jumped ship from cruisers as well for a 1200 Tiger Explorer. Don't regret it one bit. The Tigers are agile and fun bikes. If you're only staying on paved roads they are great for that as well. Tires are the big difference.
I am 6'2" as well and don't think the 660 Sport would fit too well, but that's entirely up to you. Don't discount the 900 as well for the extras you get like cruise control in a big one for myself.
Good luck in whatever you decide.
