Got bored waiting for scheduled dyno time (2 weeks, they are really busy) and looked through some of the stuff I have removed and saved from street & race bikes that are gone. Found a set of PIAA LED lights from a previous FJR 1300. I also found a DynoJet quick shifter sensor off one of my race bikes. Since the Power Commander V I already installed has the quick shifter software built in all I needed was the DJ push type shift sensor and wire harness. DJ does not list this as a option for the Thruxton R because they don't yet have the shift sensor mount kit for this bike. The quick shift sensor mounts in place of the threaded shift rod. Got that covered from all the left over DJ shift sensor adaptor mount parts I have saved. The only thing I had to order today was a PMR SPST bar switch to turn the LED PIAA lights on/off. The compact PIAA lights have a 750 ft. usable range. These light up the road and are really good on 2 lane country roads with all the deer we have around here. I mounted the lights using the top allen head bolts on each side that hold the head light brackets.

For you guys that have not had a bike with a quick shifter it enables you to make full throttle up shifts without using the clutch. You just hold the throttle wide open and when you want to upshift into the next gear you pull up on the shifter. The Power Commander interrupts the fuel or ignition (depending on what bike it is on) for a programmable time (typically around .065 seconds) which unloads the shift dogs just enough for the transmission to upshift.
