Hello,

Has anyone put modern controls on a vintage Triumph..? In my case I have a 76 Bonni. I am putting together.. I have never liked the stock Clutch lever, break lever and swith combo.. I have a complete set of Controls from a 2002 TT600... Any pointers? :y18:

You'll need the wiring diagram for your '76, as well as the wiring diagram for the TT600 so that you can reference which wire should connect to it's appropriate mate. You will also need to decide what kind of connectors to use as the modular plugs on the new controls will not mate to the Lucas connectors on your '76, unless you can find the mates to the modular plugs which would be ideal. Also keep in mind that the '76 is positive ground, but that really shouldn't make a difference as a switch is a switch, it doesn't care which way the electrons flow as long as things that need to be grounded are, and things that are insulated are too. Soldering skills will be required too, I sure.
Good luck!

The only issue is if the new controls are for 1" bars like the New Bonnie has; the old Bonnies used 7/8" bars.

As the TT600 has clip-ons, I think they too are 7/8", but not positive on that.
