Well for quite some time now I have been looking for a Meridan Bonnie, and at the weekend I bid on and won one on ebay!
It is a 1979 T140E US spec Triumph Bonneville. :ya2:
So on wednesday I am catching the train from Kendal to London, then another from London to Surrey.
The plan is to ride it home!
Rather than ride it back on motorways for 300 miles I am doing a bit of a detour to keep to A roads and take my time.
So I am riding from Surrey to Lincoln, call in on my Mam and Dad and stay overnight there. Then ride from Lincoln back to Kendal on thursday, again on A roads.
It will be a total of 180 miles on the first day followed by 160 miles on the second. This may not sound a lot, but the bike is 30yrs old!
My wife thinks I am having a mid-life crisis!
I am looking forward too it, and if anything goes wrong I have my AA card with me! (thats Automobile Association, not Alchohlics Annonymous! LOL)
I will post some pics when I get back.

Congratulations! A very nice acquisition!! That is cool. :y115: :y115:

I am looking forward to the pics. Enjoy the trip - and take some basic tools, spare fuses, and a spare headlight and tail light bulb.
