:y21: The shift lever on my 2010 Speedy is to small and I have to shift with the soul:y2: of my boot. Does anyone know what foot levers would be compatible with my Speedy ? I have every bell and whistle that can be bought from British Customs but they don't have anything that will allow me to extend the shifter length so I could get my big a$$ boot under it. Thanx Dennis

Now this is something new that I have never even thought about. You could have a look through our Yellow Pages and see if you can find one of the vendors that may have something like this. I would imagine just off the top of my head that most of the Triumph range should be about the same fit.

Why not buy a spare standard (stock) lever, then take the existing one to a workshop.... have them cut it, weld in an extension piece and dress/polish it..... then off to the chrome plating shop. This may take a while, but in the mean time you have the new one to ride with.

Should work.

That was going to be my suggestion, but you beat me to it. With careful dressing and chroming it should look like a factory item. Only you would know the difference.
It might cost a little $$$ but I have always found that satisfaction soon puts the cost out of your mind.

How heavy of a boot do you wear? The shift lever should fit practically everyone on Earth. But super heavy soled boots might be what would cause the difference.

I had a similiar problem a while back on my Speed Triple. With my MS, sometime I have very limited movement in my ankle/s. It comes and goes over the months and I got fed up with constantly trying to alter the gear shift pedal.

I bought a cheap motorcross on\e that matched the spline on the output shaft, so I can just swap it over whenever. I think it cost me about 8 $US. lol
then I wrap it in some vulcanising rubber tape to make the peg bigger and grippier.

Sorted.

Thanx Rocky, it will be pretty cheap to have it dipped because there are a lot of shops in my area due to Pratt & Whitney being close. I am not worried about the $$$ its the loss time of riding.

:y22: Thanx everybody for the replies, it is good to have others ideas to help think out the box. I got s()it a$$ lucky on this one. I put on my flame switchblade pegs last night and found them uncomfortable in the position it seems every other rider has them. I mounted them like I was going to Use them as running boards, facing up and forward. They still look great open or closed ! It corrected 85% of the problem with the shift lever being a little tight on the foot. The last 15% will be either riding with sneakers on (just cant do it) or take The Seeker's suggestion and invest in some cowboy boots. I love my blacked out Hill Billie boots but I will have to bend and adjust to my Speedy not the other way around this time ! :y152::y152:BBEER:y61::y54::y32:TUP
