I have just been chatting to an old school friend on Face Book and he sent me these photo of my misspent youth. :y114: Thought I would share them :silent:

scan001 - Combination of them all. You can see us all sitting during our break time at school in the one.

scan002 - My mates bike and it was in good condition for what we had at the time :oh: :y23:

scan003 - Me wearing the blue jacket behind the Suz

The great thing is we still all ride and the guy in front of the Z900 is still my riding mate today

I just thought that these were just so cool as I don't have any photo from that time

Very nice :y115: :y115:
After graduation some of my school days friendships continued for a while, but as we got jobs, started careers, made new friends and developed new interests, and eventually got married, we drifted apart. Within a few years we had lost all contact and I have no friends today from all those years ago.

It is actually great that I still have buddies from my school days and that we still ride together. The only problem is I have no photo from that time and I would love to have them now :y18:

Don't those pics just make miss those days horribly? When i see old pics like that i can't help but think of how much better things seems at that age. Were any of those bikes yours? I'd have to assume the triumph?
By the way, that green suzuki 550 triple.....god i love those ! to this day one of my favs. I had it's smaller brother (GT380...same exact bike w/smaller bore) and it's bigger bro. (GT750....water cooled version) They're just such great bikes. Did the guy ever let you ride it?

No none of those bike were mine at the time I was riding the Yamaha 360 RT1. However that was my first introduction to Triumph my mate's dad had all sorts of Brit bikes at the time. And yes I do seem to miss those days when thing seemed so simple and straight forward :y114:

I had a loooong lunch today with two of my old school friends. When we were 18 we all rode bikes together. One gave up riding after he almost lost his right leg in a collision with a car (not his fault), the other gave up after a very serious industrial accident and was unable to ride for many years. After lunch we spent some time in my garage and they are both starting to toy with the idea of getting into a 60's Triumph.
Fingers crossed.
I also have a few friends that I met just after I left school that I still ride with, it's good.

Great memories, Dave; thanks for posting the photos. My two best friends from grades 7-12 are still my best friends. Our worlds are completely different as we went our separate ways; but we are still very close and get together two to three times a year. Neither of them ride any more; but one is into Corvettes and has a couple of beauts. I don't have any photos of my early bikes. My ex has those.
