Hello all,

I'm new to the forum and new (about 1 year in) to the incredible world of motorcycling and Triumph Bonneville.

I've done a number of mods to my bike in the year I've owned her taking my 2018 T120 Black in more of a scrambler-ized style direction. One of the bigger updates yet to come is changing onto some chunky knobbly tires.

After doing my research, I've concluded there aren't any tubed tire options I'm into, but several tubless tires that look awesome. To do this, I'm looking to do a tubless conversion on my stock wheels which I'll probably tackle once it gets cold. I've done some research (i.e., YouTube thus far) and feel good about my ability to successfully make this conversion. I've also zeroed in on a set of MotoZ Tractionator GPS tires to replace the stock Pirelli's.

My questions for you are:
  1. Who's tackled a tubless conversion on a similar bike? Any tips/resources?
  2. Does anyone have experience with the MotoZ GPS (or MotoZ Adventure/Rally) tires? Thoughts?; and
  3. Has anyone fit a size 110/80 R18 tire on a similar Bonnie and any thoughts there? Stock size is 100/90 R18, which is close, but not identical to the front size available in the MotoZ GPS.
Appreciate any thoughts or tips on the above.

Cheers!

Hi there and welcome to TT BBEER
cant help you on the tubules conversion as ive not done it ( ive seen it done on a 2011 tiger 800 ) and looks easy enough with the right preporation .

As for the tyres 1) the motoz tyres are hell to fit and heavy (2 they are not great in cold or wet weather but thats just my experience with them, i live in the uk and we have a lot of cold and wet weather here in the Highlands of Scotland .

I’ve got Avon Spirit tyres on my 2016 T120 which are tubeless but I have tubes fitted which is fine. I’ve had a tubeless conversion on my Legend which worked ok. There’s lots of examples of conversions if you google it. Mine was done by a guy in Devon Uk.
