Motone Rear Caliper relocation, has anyone done this and what's your view.

Looking at adding and doing things to bike over time and winter approaching I think I may undertake this job. Has anyone fitted one and did it affect the braking in anyway or just felt the same but as they say kept the caliper cleaner than if mounted in std position; cheers...

Checking other forums someone did a conversion using a part from TT or something and rated the change as good no change in performance and definitely easier to check and clean. Also the crud it use to get is more or less non-existent. So once I sort my fuse blowing issue it's on the winter to do list; will update with photo's of before and after (if I remember) once done. Thanks for the comments

This was the first time I heard of Motone so spent some time going through their site and found an amazing assortment of products for the Bonneville.
Very impressive to say the least.

The conversion works well and keeps the caliper out of the salt better and helps to keep it cleaner and improves access to the pads .

I agree, and it looks like something I might consider - although I don't ride in winter conditions or the rain if I can help it
