There are two "mosquito" movies that featured that wooden wonder and are now out on DVD and based on real WWII events.
The first was in 1964 and starred Cliff Robertson in - 633 Squadron.
The other was made in 1970 and starred David McCallum (now of NCIS fame) - Mosquito Squadron.
Both movies have lots of flying sequences and closeups of that great warbird.
I have never seen one fly, but we have one on static display at the War Museum in Ottawa.

It was the Avro Lancaster that was used in the Dam Busters Raid.
During WWII I lived on a farm a few miles from an RCAF bomber training base and saw the Lancs flying nearly every day.
It was also a Hawker Hurricane pilot training base and the Hurricanes often flew at treetop level and scared the beejeebers out of us.
My grandparents and parents hated the low flying, but I thought it was wonderful :ya2:

Definitely a different era without the PC male bovine excrement and nanny government!

Both those movies share some common footage including a classic cockup which is written into the script as a "crash-landing".
If you listen carefully (I have them on vcr)during what was obviously meant to be a "touch and go"you hear the throttles open up,but then instead of retracting the flaps, the pilot pulls the landing gear, with predictable and disastrous results!
Waste of a beautiful aeroplane!
