These were amazing planes and it would be wonderful for another one (or more) to be flying again.
Starting from scratch at today's costs will be a huge task though.
 
Watch out for a "virus/spyware" alert, allegedly from Microsoft; I got it when I clicked on the "More videos", or whatever just below the blueprints. Needless to say, it's another attempt at scamming us......great video of the "Mossies", but don't open the other one. I did a "control, alt, delete" to get rid of it, then checked online to confirm it.

It sure would be great to see one of these back in the air but as mentioned I wonder if the cost will be the show stopper in actually getting it done.
There are a few examples still flying and were restored from an original air frame.
I think to build one from scratch would be so enormously costly that it would be almost impossible to do.
There is a complete example at the National Air Museum in our national capital of Ottawa, but it's only a static display inside where it's safe from the elements.
It's the only one I've ever seen.
