Ok, I am not being shy about posting questions, etc about my 1996 Trophy 900. Seems that the more that I post, the better my status gets.... but mainly I am trying to learn about the bike. So, I got the Haynes manual last nite. For the life of me, I cannot find how to adjust the pre-load on the rear shock. It looks like a spanner wrench is needed to adjust it. On mine, it also looks like it is on the max tension setting - highest point. I would like it a little softer and would like for the bike to sit a little lower with me on it. Any experts out there on how to do this. I can take a photo of what I am talking about if that will help? Am I making sense with my question here? Thanks.

Hi there ,
Yes you need a small spanner to adjust it if you look to the side there are numbers 1 to 5 on the side 5 being hardest , there shoud be a small silver pin that slides up and down the numbers as you undo or tighten up the nut !

Hello Shane
Thanks for this guidance. I will look for this. I may take a couple of photos to show you what I am looking at to make sure that I am headed in the right direction...? I have done this before on other bikes. but on those I had an owners manual... dont have that for this bike... and I had the spanner wrench in the tool kit... dont have that either for this bike... So it was simple. So want to know what I am doing before I start ordered a spanner wrench. Thanks for your help.
