I will probably catch hell for this question. But that is OK.
I have a 14 LT. Trying to find a rear tube has proven to be worse than chickens teeth. And to find one that has the 90 degree bent stem is even worse. My rear tire is in need of replacement , prior to any trips (like Daytona from OKC) . I found a dealer who said he could get me one , had to tell me 10 days later they were on back order by triumph.
One option >>>Put the new tire on with the old tube , that has a bit over 10K on it. Not recommended . Two option is to use a tube that is sightly smaller than stock ( 180/65/16 vice 180/70/16). Option three is to seal the spokes with 3M 5200 marine sealant and make it a tubeless wheel.
The tire itself is tubeless , and my question is that it should bead up OK>>>with safety beads on the rims. Trying to ask Triumph customer service would be a waste of time. Found out from experence that they do not want to get involved.
BTW For the front rim I found a tube with the 90 deg bend>>> Michelin UPC 3528700996043

Sealing up the spokes is half the battle. Not sure if tubeless rims have a different bead lip than tube type rims. As ours were never meant to be tubeless, the rim bead may be different. Will require a little more research or someone with more experience will chime in hopefully.

For liability reasons Triumph would want nothing to do with such a mod.

Using a tube that is marginally smaller shouldn't be a problem, but that's just an opinion.

The subject of sealing a spoked rim comes up once in a while on different forums and from what I understand there are methods or products that can seal.

BTW, you won't catch hell here. This is a polite and civil forum with no flaming allowed.

This maybe of no use to you at all, being that I'm the other side of the pond, but if you contact this company Motorcycle Wheel Building from Central Wheel Components Limited there are two methods that can be used to achieve the result that you require, unfortunately I can't remember the two options. If you email this company you'll hopefully get the information you want, then can make further enquires state side
I asked about doing it to my 95 Thunderbird 900. It's not cheep near on $1000 for two wheels, and it only last a few years before you have to do it again, the second option I can't remember what it was. Sorry

If the wheel has a safety bead you could convert to tubeless. There are several discussions on Tiger websites and on adventure websites. Not all wheels have the safety beads. My Tiger has a rear safety bead and I'm looking at converting it to tubeless. My front does not have a safety bead so it's either purchase a new wheel or rim with a safety bead.

There is a few companies that will do the conversion for you as long as your wheel has the safety bead but they charge a pretty penny for the work using the same method you would use yourself.
