Yesterday (Sunday) I went to the 1st reunion of the Little River TT. The first was in 1952 and was held at a very small (and still is) township called Little River not far from Melbourne. This township incidentaly is where the Little River Band took their name from. Apparently they took a wrong turn on a way back from a gig some years back and ended up going through Little River. Story says they nearly called themselves "Wrong Way, Go Back".
Anyhow, Little river used to hold an annual TT but it ceased in the late 50's. yesterday, they held a reunion and, Oh Boy, was there some really smart vintage and not so vintage machinery on show. Most of it actually ridden there too, not trailored. I have put some pics up on my Picturetrail account. just log in and enter my nickname Pooksta. Have a look in the Vintage bike file and drool away.
Here's a taste of what was there.
I will put some more up as soon as I get a chance. There was some really nice Triumph stuff there too.
Enjoy,
Lee. :y115:
