After almost two years away from the Triumph marquee (and this forum) I am back in the saddle with a new (carbureted) ’08 red Bonneville. I had a beautiful black on black ’06 and a Centennial edition, both ended up in the junk yard and me being out of commission for 7 months. I am hoping for better luck this time around with this bonnie.

I’ve spent the last year on a ‘08 Yamaha FZ1 a good bike, but not a great one. The bike took me on a 6 day 4,000 mile ride from Florida into the Texas/Mexico border this past April which was a ton of fun. I will post pictures in the future.

Sooo….I’m baaaack :ya2:

Welcome back, my friend; it is great to hear from you. Mae Lyne was asking about you the other day. Congratulations on the new Bonnie! Do you prefer the carbs over the EFI? I do; because I can work on them. I am looking forward to seein g the red Bonnie in the flesh!!

Thank you guys that was a GREAT welcome! :y114:

Carl,

It has a carburetor. I looked at a ’09 with EFI and it just didn’t feel right. One of the reasons I love the Bonnie is its a throw back. There is nothing wrong with EFI systems I just feel this bike should be left as is. Please say hi to Mae Lyne and let her know I’m glad she’s ok! You guys have hit a rough patch and I hope things get better. When we do get together I will bring Barbara. I know Mae Lyne and Barbara will hit it off.

Dave,

No matter what bike I own it does not seem to make me happy and I gravitate back to the Bonneville. I lost my shirt to get this one and I'm holding on to it so you can expect me to be around for awhile. I need to get carl's blood circulating again with my perspective on life :ya2:.

As far as the new forum I need to figure out how to get around this forum, yo’ve moved the furniture around so now I need to figure things out. :y18:

Welcome back, Emiliano. We have missed you. Congratulations on you new Bonnie. I look forward to seeing you and meeting Barbara. Let's do that soon. Carl tells me that we don't live very far away from you and Barbara. I love my hack!

:y114: Yes we did move the furniture around a bit, so if you have any questions just fire away :y18:

What I am saying even if you do not own a Triumph you will always be most welcome here, unless of course you own a Pink Vesper, :oh: then we may just have to reconsider your position here :y24: :y24:
