November 11th is Veteran's Day in the U.S.; Remembrance Day in Canada, England, the Commonwealth and many other countries.
So many fine young men gave all so that we may live free. They must never be forgotten.

All gave some and some gave all.
I will be honouring the vets with my Dad up in Northern New Brunswick. He served in the RCAF for 15 years. Heading up there tomorrow and back after the parade on Monday.
Lest we forget.

It was nice to see Home - M.O.T.H out doing collections and I always support them.

In the old days this was a big thing our side with events all over the country. It used to get huge TV time. These days it is not even mentioned on TV. If it were not for the MOTHS doing collection it would be totally forgotten.

That is such a shame! Many South African's were serving in WWII and never made it home.
One of the hero's of the Battle of Britain was Adolph "Sailor" Malan from SA. He was an ace several times over.

Yes there were many and we had our own forces up North in Africa but sadly only a few South Africans wish to remember that.

This is sad. This is the whole idea behind Remembrance Day, so we DON"T forget the sacrifices our forefathers, brothers and sisters in arms made. If we do we will be destined to repeat those mistakes.

I'm a 23+ year veteran and one of my son's is also a veteran. A former tank commander, he was invalided out after 15 years following his second tour in Afghanistan.

I'm glad he came back safe and has been able to move on and is now enjoying life. He's is a HD mechanic.

Too many people I've served with, trained with, and socialized with haven't been so lucky it's sad to say.

They are all in my thoughts today.

This goes for you as well, Carl, and your Family and their sacrifices.
Thank you, Sir!
