Hi, has anybody installed a Kuryakyn LED Battery Gauge? How dose it mount, what meathod, and how is it connected to for a power reading for the battery ?
Jerry

Never installed one myself, but looking at ads for them......it connects with a simple two-wire ( POS & NEG) connection either directly to the battery poles or to any circuit that is on anytime your bike is running.

From the looks of it, they mount on almost any flat area....I see them pictured mouted on the side of a front brake master cylinder or on a console area if your bike has one.

It shouldn't drain the battery if it's on a switched circuit only indicating when the bike is running. Plus, it's just LED lights.

That said, a voltage meter would probably be more useful.

It connects just as AJ described. It is an LED indicator. You can attach it to any wire that is hot when the ignition is on - including the head light circuit and the other wire to a ground. You can either attach the ground wire to a circuit ground wire or simply ground it your self to a screw or bolt.
