Good one
If you have an air compressor,a blast of air directed into the joint between grip and bar will usually allow you to remove the stock left hand one without cutting it off. If memory serves me right, I did the same thing to remove the grip of the throttle sleeve as well.
To fit the new ones I used the supa glue that was supplied with the new grips.
I set the orientation of the longitudinal slots in the grips so the fleshy pads at the base of my fingers falls into them.

I am having trouble removing the two screws that hold the switch housing together, they seem to be seized I have sprayed them with WD40 but still no joy, I wondered why when I bought the bike that a heated grip was only fitted to the clutch side, this must be the reason, I am going to leave it overnight but I think they may have to be drilled and maybe use an "easy out"

The best success I have had breaking free frozen screws is with an impact driver or a rattle gun/drill.
A good dose of heat from an electric heat gun (paint stripper) on the switch housing may help to release them.
If your switch housing is alloy, then use a wee drop of grease or nickel based anti seize on the new screws when you reassemble it.

Not saure about your bird but if it has 1 inch bars as most modern Triumphs do,they should fit fine, providing the throttle is the same as most.
