I lube my chain every 500 km's lightly. I clean it every 1000kms. (Well I try to.)

I bought this system a couple of weeks ago but only got round to using it yesterday.

You assemble the kit and clamp it over your chain after trimming the brushes to suit your chain size.
I used paraffin as the cleaning solution, ran the chain through the brush box about five times with the bike on a rear axle stand. I then took a clean rag and spun the wheel again to dry most of the paraffin off. The chain looks brand new again.
Then I took my usual Castrol chain lube and sprayed it into the rear adapter of the brush box and the whole chain has been covered evenly with the lube.

What I like about the Ketten max:
It stops nearly all of the mess of usual cleaning - the rear wheel stays dry and clean.
I spend alot less time on my knees.
Whole clean takes less than 10 minutes from deciding to do it, till you put the kit away on the shelf again.
Easy to put on and off.
The retainer rope has several holes so you can keep the box square to the chain.

What I'm not too fond off:
The instructions were a little cryptic-glyphic 'till you realise what their on about.
No spare tubing in the kit. Would have preferred one piece of tube that I can cut to my length.
Would have liked spare brushes too.

System works like a bomb though. It does a much better, faster, easier and cleaner job than I normally do with a margarine tub and a paint brush.

Not badly priced at R349.00 ZA.

Thanks for that ,sounds neat , will try and find similar in the UK

Thats the biggest shock and inconvenience of leaving shaft drive ( Rocket )
and having to adjust / lube drive chains ( Busa )

Narh, its easy. I put mine on in under a minute, up on the centre stand, put it in first and let it do its magic for a minute or so. Take off, put a dry rag to it and then re-lube. Done and dusted :)

I also use a grunge brush; but I may have to try this system.

I still use this same one I reviewed, works like a charm.
Showed my buddy the other day and he couldn't believe just how fast and fuss free it is.
