Kenny Rogers has passed away

I was saddened this morning to read that music star, Kenny Rogers, has passed away at age 81.
He was one of my favourite entertainers and I got to see him and Dolly Parton in concert some years ago here in our city.
They put on a fantastic show of all their hits along with banter and joking between songs.
It was a wonderful evening.

That saddens me, too. I never had the privilege of seeing him in person; but I really enjoy his music. He did some really great songs.

I always enjoyed his "First Edition" period, like Hemi, apparently.

The First Edition always brings back some good memories to me, Kenny Rodgers was one of the greatest.

A "Surf" band in New Jersey, the Black Flamingos, just released their version of "I Just Dropped In (To See What Condition My Condition Was In). No vocals and it's still a pretty good tribute to Kenny.
