Just Introducing Myself

Hello, everyone. My name is Dave. I'm a transplant to San Diego, CA (from Wisconsin). I've been riding and racing motorcycles for over 40 years. I currently ride a Suzuki SV650, but I've ordered a brand spanking new Thruxton R in Diablo Red. I should have it by the end of next month, and I'm pretty excited. It's the first brand-new bike I've bought in 15 years. I'm looking forward to contributing here as well as getting information about my new Triumph. I hope it's better than the last Triumph I owned-a '67 Bonneville. That POS was the worst bike I've ever owned.

You've chosen well with the red Thruxton, you'll see a few pictures I've posted for you in your other thread, just to keep you going till it arrives. It will be great to see photos of your bike in the California countryside and your thoughts on your first new bike in 15 years. My last new bike was 21 years ago, my 1995 Thunderbird, and it's the best bike I've ever had. Full stop.
