After more than seven months of intensive physiotherapy I am finished at the clinic. Today was my last day. I have reached the point where they can't do anymore for me that I can't do for myself. The rest is up to me.
The therapist put me through a strength and movement test in which I had to exert force against her strength and weight. I was able to overpower her in all but one exercise - and she's no 98 pound weakling!
I laughed when she said, "My God you're strong! That's fantastic!"
Yeehaawww!! I graduated.
I made a point to go around and thank each staff member who was so helpful and kind to me. They thanked me back and said I was one of the hardest working patients they ever had. That pleased me very much.
But it's not over. I'll still continue to push myself at home as I want to improve until there is nothing left to improve.
I realize that in some movements of the shoulder I may never totally regain mobility but I can live with that. Even now my day-to-day life is very normal and most of the time I forget I had an injury.

Good to hear it's going well. However, maybe you CAN do a little better. if you never tried it, look into taking glucosamine. the spelling may be off, but it's close. It is supposed to help with cartilage and ligaments or such. In any case, i tried it several times and while it didn't help the first time, possibly due to a lousy brand, (it's sorta expensive and i bought cheap the first time) but the next time i tried it it really worked well on my rotator cuff injury that i aquired many years ago. Since then i could never raise my arms over my head till i had about 2 months on glucosamine. I know others who had no luck with it but some who have. so you might wanna give it a try. And if you do, don't take the cheap route like i did the first time. And i also recall that the best is supposed to be the glucosamine that also has something called "conjointen", again not sure about the spelling. Good luck in any case..

I'm sure you CAN do better, but I'm telling you, glucosamine may just be what you need to do that. It was amazing for me because i could not raise my arms without severe pain. @ months later i could do it with no pain, and i hadn't been able to do that for a good 10 years. Please give it a try....i think it is more likely than not to help to some degree if not to the degree it did for me.
