I've never had any interest in a BMW. Great bikes for those who like them.
I have neighbor that rents across the street. His home is in Louisiana and he rides at least once a week home for a few days. Spoke to him the other day about his BMW, has around 80k plus on it he said. Rings are starting to go, but new ones are expensive so he’s putting off trying to buy a new one a bit longer. It’s his primary vehicle from what I’ve observed. Seems dependable enough, but it just doesn’t look or sound very exciting. It does seem to get the job done. No idea if needing an engine rebuild at that mileage is typical or not for any motorcycle.
