As you will have read on my previous post I have fitted an AF sensor and gauge to my T100 so I have been doing a bit of tinkering!
I saw this on another site and did the mod to my bike yesterday.
I had already removed the snorkel,

and was running a K and N filter with a Jenks Bellmouth,

As you can see, it is a nice bit of kit, but the inlet is reduced to 52mm diameter.
So I opened up the inlet to the same size as the filter,

The theory being better airflow into the airbox.
I then removed the restrictor plate from the airbox,
afinstall006-1.jpg

This is accessed by the opposite side of the airbox to the filter,

Remove the brake cylinder bolts 1, remove the brake reservoir 2, remove the fuse box 3, and the screws all around the air box cover 4 . It also makes it easier if you take the rear shock off for a bit more room. There are 3 screws that are a bit awkward to get out as they are behind the frame, these have to be removed using mole/vice grips.
Once the cover is off the restrictor plate slides straight out.

Here is a shot of the finished mod with filter fitted.
After this mod my set up is as follows,
865 T100, Hyde Burgess pipes, K and N filter, 130 main, 40 pilots, 1 shim on the needles, 2.5turns on the mixture screws, this gives an AF between 13.0:1 and 13.7:1 across the rev range.
The improvement in acceleration and throttle response is fantastic, well worth doing IMO.
For all you guys who know this already, apologies. Hopefully it will be useful to the newer guys.

Well, today I went the next step and opened up the other end of the airbox.
My mate had done this mod successfully on his scrambler.
I cut the centre out of the K&N filter to make it dual entry, then removed the same size aperture from the airbox.

I re-jetted using my A/F guage and ended up with 135 mains, no shims, 40 pilots, and 2 turns on the mixture screws.
IMO it is a worthwhile mod, she pulls hard right up to the limiter and the intake noise is awesome!

Hey Gump,
I have an idea. Sell your bike, get a new EFI T100, start all over again.
You can post your progress with photos and I will be able to reproduce the mods on the other side of the world. :ya2:

Gump, where did you purchase the AF gauge setup?
I have been fighting with the jetting on my '05 Bonny 800, and it seems like every change I make gets me further away from where I need to be, and I always end up back at the same place. It runs good, plugs are brown, get's decent economy, and has a great top-end rush, but it feels like it is stumbling in the mid-range. Right where you need it smooth as that's where I am 90% of the time.

Hi Chief, here is a link to the kit I bought.https://www.triumphtalk.com/index.php?topic=2079.0
I got it from Burton power here in England, they are available in the US. Here is a link to the Innovate site,

Thanks Gump!
They seem a little pricey at first, but compared to a engine rebuild due to rumming too lean, they would be a bargain by comparison! I'll have to tell the wife I want one for Christmas.
