If tears could build a stairway and memories were a lane
We would ride up to Heaven and bring you back again

No farewell words were spoken, no time to say goodbye
You were gone before we knew it and only God knows why

Our hearts still ache in sadness and secret tears still flow
What it meant to lose you no one will ever know

But we know you want us to mourn for you no more
To remember all the happy times life still has much in store

Since you will never be forgotten, we pledge to you today
A hallowed place within our hearts is where you will always stay

It has now been a year since Mae Lyne passed over and to me it seems like just yesterday. I will always remember those few phone calls I had with Mae Lyne. It was like opening a barrel of sunshine no matter what Mae Lyne was going through I always came away feeling richer for speaking to her, we sure do miss you

The year has passed rapidly in retrospect; but the first five or six months were agony. I was blessed by her presence in my life. She brought me great joy and we were a perfect match.
