Hells Angels Leader Slain; Fear Grips SF Neighborhood

http://www.ktvu.com/news/17387043/detail.html

SAN FRANCISCO -- Police and residents in San Francisco's Outer Mission neighborhood were on edge after SFPD investigators identified a man killed in the area as the president of the San Francisco branch of the Hells Angels motorcycle club.

The victim, 46-year-old Mark Guardado, was shot at about 10:30 p.m. outside a bar at 24th Street and Treat Avenue in the city's Mission District, police said.

Authorities said Guardado was recently in Sonoma County court, facing felony charges in connection to an altercation in Petaluma last February.

Police were investigating reports that Guardado was shot by a member of The Mongols, a rival motorcycle club. The Mongols are based in Southern California, but there are local chapters in Modesto and San Jose, authorities said.

Isn't "mongols" a spelling mistake? Shouldn't it be "mongRols". :silent: I can't handle this type of "biker mentality". I thought Hells Angels and the like went out of fashion in the 70's. Clearly I'm wrong.

The 1%'ers are very much alive and well. Not many HA's in Florida; mostly Outlaws.

We had a chapter of the Hells Angels for years here in our quiet city. They moved from one clubhouse to another over the years. They were raided by the police a number of times and there were a few murders among themselves and those who do business with them.
A couple of years ago they packed up and left. We don't see their colours these days, but that doesn't mean that they aren't still here in one guise or another.
Unfortunately, like most places in the world, the drug trade is flourishing here and there is violence and killing in turf wars.

Carl, don't you have a bunch up there in your area called the Warlocks??

I think that sub-culture is alive and well just about everywhere. It might not always be evident, so ya gotta watch whatcha say. :silent: Anymore, you really never know.

Best policy is avoidance. The answer is to ride British and congregate where riders of British congregate. :y114: :y114:

AJ, I think I prefer HA to to those in government in SF

Fuzzy, yes, we have the Warlocks in Orlando and I think they have a chapter in Daytona or New Smyrna. The Outlaws are in Daytona, Jax and Ocala. There are Black Pistons around, too.

Ya got that right mate....

Sounds like a war is about to start.

Ride safe

The "Biker Gangs" are indeed alive and well in the US. We have the "Pagans" in our area, Philly has the "War Lords" (african-american gang), and I believe there was a "Hell's Angels" chapter around Baltimore. There is also a smaller group of black bikers called the "Thunder Guard" about 10 miles from me, they are mostly decent guys, but they did have a shooting at their clubhouse about a month or two ago.
The funny thing is, I remember seeing a story on the modern Hell's Angels a couple of years ago. They were mostly yuppies that got into the life-style about the time the chopper craze was taking off. I wonder how many of those guys are still wearing their colors, let alone still riding.

HA up the north of Ireland, but a lot of resistance between the rest of the other 1%ers down south

Hey Seeker - my missus hails from there! we visited there again in June, still a cool place, but over run by panhandlers

For the record - I met her in a 1%er bar in Dublin run by the Double D!
