.....I wouldn't have no luck at all! :y9:

About a week ago, my Wife's Jaguar started having weird intermittent transmission problems. After playing around with it and not having any luck myself, I took it to the Jaguar dealer who claimed to have found the problem. After lightening my wallet to the tune of $1400, they gave her the Jag back on Saturday afternoon. She drove it home that night but on Sunday morning it completely broke down on her as she was driving to work. Monday, I was on the phone to the Jag dealer and they towed the car back in at their expense and kept it for a few more days. She got it back after they say they found water ingressing into a wiring harness and charged me nothing.

So last night she leaves work to find someone smashed her passenger window. We don't know why because there was nothing missing and there were no valuables int he car. Weird part is that the alarm system was on, but it didn't make a peep????

So another $200 for a replacement window.

Then today I was moving the T-140V, just walking it about 10 feet backward. I lost my balance and the bike went over away from me. Luckily, there was a wooden saw-horse there and it didn't crash completely to the ground. However, when I righted the bike and looked for any damage, I found that where it hit the wood edge, it made a 1 inch slice in the seat cover's side.

Unlike Charlie Sheen.....I'm NOT winning!!:y10:

I am sorry to hear that AJ. The window sounds like vandals who were just picking on a "rich man's" Jag. Water getting into the wiring harness sounds typically Brit! :y2: I am glad that the only damage to the T-140 was the seat cover. That is relatively inexpensive to fix. I do hope your luck changes.

I was going to say it comes in threes and you are now clear but you had 4 so far :y10: It always sucks when you have a run of bad luck like this but as Gary said you have your health so all is well BBEER

Re: If it wasn't for bad luck....

I had the same thing happen a few years ago when my car was parked downtown. The drivers window was smashed in for no apparent reason. Months later I was still finding bits of glass.

Re: If it wasn't for bad luck....

The auto glass company replaced the window on the Jag and cleaned-up all the broken glass for us.

I'm beginning to think the window just exploded for some reason all by itself. The broken glass was more outside than inside and was even on the roof and hood of the car. Plus, I'd really think the car alarm would have sounded-off if someone hit the window. I know it's so sensitive that it's gone off just from someone slamming another car door next to it.

AJ, was it warm that day and was it parked in the sun? Windows explode sometimes from hear build up; that is not unusual down here. But usually it is the rear glass, not the side windows.

Don't stress too much. That should be your bad luck for the next couple of years.
Money can fix it - so it's not all that bad.

Have a pint and a smoke.
