Hey Everyone!
My name is Mykah. I am the owner operator of Dean Speed Customs. I have a 2016 Bonneville T100 Black and I am working on making some slip on's to produce and sell and I would love your input. What are you looking for in slip on muffler? What type of finish material. Price range loudness ect. Thanks !

As far as loudness goes I like to hear a bit of a deep sound when you open that throttle but not that loud on the ride itself.

I also like it so they look sleek on the bike and not something that looks like a bubble hanging off the sides of the bike.

I'm a newbie, so my opinions are still forming. That said, I kind of like a growlie note, without being loud, sort of like a pedal note on a pipe organ. I like both brushed and polished stainless.

Thanks for asking for our input!

I put Norman Hyde Togas on my T100, and IMHO they make the bike sound just like a stock '62 Bonneville. The last time I was at a Triumph rally, the sound of my bike was getting everyone's attention and I must have had 40-50 guys ask me what they were. These have the "pea shooter" profile and you can see straight through the pipes; inside the pipes appear to have numerous 1/4" (or so) perforations and I guess the space between the inside straight -through pipe and the exterior has fiberglass or something similar. The finish is deep chrome and they still look new after 14 years on the bike. Yeah, these were made in the UK; I would have bought USA made if they had been available.

I have SS catbacks on my 2004 'Vette (very expensive); I don't see the need to have the bike exhaust be SS, unless you live in an area near salt water or you ride in an are where they commonly put salt on the streets.

I'd like to see someone produce a set of BSA Goldstar pattern mufflers for the NTB. Cocktail shakers are the closest in look, but I hate their flared tail pipe.

/M
