Yeah, I'm not that thrilled with the factory pipes either, and as Carl said, you can change them, but you give up ground clearance. I'll be keeping mine as they are. After four years I really don't notice it anymore.
 
I bought my Black more for the ergos, but then that's part of the design ain't it? Yes I've spent bucks on suspension bits and a flyscreen plus a few bits here and there. But the bike looks mainly stock. I like it that way.
 
Dale, one of the 60's model Bonnevilles had a kink in the pipes, too. I had posted the pic here at one time. Unfortunately, I lost the pic when my HD crashed. It is not a pronounced as it is on the new Bonnevilles.

Fortunately, I had this in my album here. It is the 1962 Bonnie that had the kink.
