Man, I have been running ragged these last few weeks!

In the shop-
'83 Bonneville total refurb project at about 75%
'67 Norton N15 restoration at 99%, finally finishing last minute details
'66 Norton Atlas reassembly & make-run at 70%
'73 Bonneville engine overhaul & major parts order at 75%
(the four projects above also involve cross-posting regular updates with pix on several forums, see list below)
Miscellaneous small parts orders
Fabrication of Norton featherbed swingarm spindle kits that I sell on e-bay
Ordering of materials for Triton engine adapter plate kits that I make
Cleaning & re-organizing after selling off several bikes and several batches of parts from shelves & bins
Chasing tire & battery gremlins on half a dozen of my regular riders, they keep draining batteries and letting air out of my tires at night!

In the house & around the yard-
Tax season paperwork mess
Re-arranging desk/workspace to give my wyfe back her kitchen table (she seems upset about that one)
Building yard furniture for springtime use
Eliminating septic tank and installing sanitary sewer piping system
Arranging stonework around trees to create planters
Hauling never-ending loads of yard rakings & leaves down the slope into the runoff area

With the family-
Wake up sleepyhead daughter & school bus duty 3 - 5 days a week
Diaper duty about 75 - 80% of the time (he's FINALLY getting the idea about using the potty)
Household chef duty about 50% of the time
Putting kids to bed duty about 60% of the time (brush teeth, cleanup, etc)
Running useless 350 mile round trips to dentist who can't fix this 'till I get that fixed and other dental nonsense
Family reunion now moved 175 miles away, involving 4-day weekend with total of 600 miles driving
Son about to graduate from Texas A&M University and receive his Army officer commission and enter MedEvac flight school (1 month away, and the move is starting)

Oh, yeah, my "fun" stuff-
Total of 4 hours work on my own project bikes over the last 3 months
Total of less than 100 miles riding in that same 3-month period
One 4-day race weekend where I worked at least 12 hours each day almost exclusively standing and/or walking in the sun & wind
Slowly working on writing my second book
Plans to patent several of my inventions

I think I'll take a nice vacation when I finish the 4 major projects at the top of this list...

Ouch, now thats a load! Hang in there.TUP Sounds like you got an extra slice of the "thats life pie" these days, try and enjoy, you'll miss it when they're off and gone.:y16:
Congrats to your Son as well on his graduation, commission and new venture.:Salute4:

Looks like TONS of work, but there is A LOT of GOOD in that list Paul. :y2:

I start 1 task, get distracted by 5 or 6 more, and an hour later I can't figure out why I haven't finished the 1st. one(or better yet what the H*** the first task WAS) . Then I stand in the middle of the shop for 3 minutes trying to remember where I put my damn coffee......

Yep, I'll be taking a break and working hospitality at the Gypsy's rallye this weekend; they've also asked me to conduct the Sunday morning Christian service.

My bones tend to object a little, but I enjoy camping out with the lads. (I use earplugs to sleep) Thankfully, the weather is looking nice, and i'll at least get to take in 60 - 80 miles of riding on the poker run and I especially enjoy the field events.

That is quite a list; I don't know if I have it good or bad but I am pretty much just the opposite, my biggest chore at work and home is to find things just to keep me busy. I believe I do more gawking than actual working on my bikes.

Joe Walsh said it best, "I can't complain but sometimes I still do"

Geez, Paul, when do you find time to breathe?

One thing I noticed, though, in the way you wrote your list--I think you enjoy all of it. That's a rare gift.

Ed

[Edit--Well, maybe all except the dentist.]
