They've just finished running the tests for it. Not sure when it roles out though.

Called LTE here.

That's what it's called here too.....4G LTE.

If you look at the upper right of this screenshot, although I'm connected to wi-fi it shows the grayed out network as 4G LTE.

Well after looking into this a bit more I think I will have to pass on upgrading and just stick with my current Blackberry. The data offered on this package just would not last that long. There after I would need to purchase a topup package and these prices are just stupid

My missus went for an upgrade a while ago, was also told she had to change contract. Pay more and get less.

Also we noticed that the phone was acting up the very next day. Would CellC change it? Would they f*ck!
We waited 11 days for the phone to be replaced.

CellC are the biggest rip offs in the cell market here.

Complained to customer care, managers, et al. That's their policy.

Will not be going back to those thieving bastards.

Here in the USA your phone and your plan are two separate things. You choose your phone and then you choose your data, text, and voice package. You can mix and match everything to fit your needs.

AJ here you can basically do more or less the same thing but once you start looking at mobile data plans you looking at big bucks. Remember we still pay per meg even on our land line deals but we have seen a huge improvement on that in the last few years. So we hope in the next few years we will see this roll over to mobile as well. Now with the Blackberry you get a data deal with it unlimited to a point (videos and certain downloads you will pay over and above this) the cost of this data plan is 28.00 ZAR = 3.18608 USD a month. Up until now I have never had an issue with it and just don't watch video at all. My biggest problem is that the Blackberry battery life sucks and I need to charge the battery during a working day for it to last. that is from around 06:30am to 05:00pm and I make zero calls during that time. This will just be a bit of online time here during the day. Now I can turn off GPS and the battery last a bit better but GPS is the one feature that I really need on all the time. So this is why I was looking at another phone being Android and now the problem with the data comes in. I really like my Blackberry and what it gives me but the battery life is the show stopper and they have not had a new phone since I got this one by the looks of it.
