Another hurricane, Hurricane Lee heading for the northern east coast of North America. Y’all stay safe and take appropriate measures. It’s likely to be category one as it approaches the area.

Thanks for the good wishes TUP

Hurricane Juan slammed into us 20 years ago as a cat 1 and that was a wakeup call for what may be in the future. Before that it was mainly the tail end of hurricanes which were of little consequence.
Since Juan we have been much more interested in what hurricanes are doing as they track northeast.
Lee is expected to arrive Saturday evening and through Sunday. The strength is uncertain, but hopefully, it will be post tropical with just a lot of rain and less damaging winds.
The cone is very wide so I'm expecting monsoon rains and gusting winds. All we can do is prepare as best we can and wait and see.
I live in the city and there is no risk of flooding where I am, but there could be a loss of power if tree limbs come down so I may be missing for a while. I'll update as we go along and after it passes.

Latest path projections.

Looks like Prince Edward Island won’t be in the center of this thing so happy I shouldn’t have to start up the new Honda generator . Hooked it up a few weeks ago and seemed to have power with the grid disconnected so am sure it’s fine but like many of us here it’s my first experience with this equipment.
Good luck wishes to those more affected and happy I’m not in Libya or Morocco . We are indeed blessed be living here .C9BBC634-66A3-4608-9473-14C380FB17BE.jpegC29B566B-4BF7-45E0-BB5B-957D6DF59168.jpeg

The projected path right now puts the eye going right over where I live.
The winds are supposed to be diminished a bit by then. Let's hope so.
75-100 mm of rain forcasted.
Western Nova Scotia and South shore of New Brunswick to get the brunt of this.
Batten down the hatches.

From the storm track it looked like Lee had you in his sights. We'll get a good soaking too and this area doesn't need that much rain after all the flooding a few weeks ago. Not much doubt the flooding will happen again. Fingers crossed that the winds will have diminished and not cause much damage.
The leading edge will be here overnight with the rain and then on Saturday things really get serious.
Good luck, take care and I'll do the same.

Don't know if the heavy rain here is an offspin from your hurricane.
Nearly suffered a serious injury from it though.

Walking into shop this afternoon, someone had thoughtfully discarded a foil crisp-packet. Wet foil on wet ground, very slippery I discovered . Stayed upright.

Went into the store, to find the hurricane must be interfering with the earth's magnetic field, causing some distortion in the space-time continuum; there were mince pies and stollen cake on the shelves. I went around the corner, and came across hotcross buns.
