Hurricane Michael

The TV coverage of the aftermath of Hurricane Michael is beyond heartbreaking to watch. You can hardly believe that such devastation can happen!
Michael is now a tropical storm and is passing well off shore from me, but the outer reaches are just starting to pass over us and will bring monsoon rains any moment. It's eerily calm right now and quite mild for this time of year as that southern air is dragged along in the wake.
There will/should be no storm damage per se, just heavy rains, possible thunder storms, possible localized flash flooding and increased tidal action along the coast. No damaging winds are expected.

In spite of the storm warnings all day, nothing unusual happened where I am - just the usual normal rain storm that passes trough all the time.
No complaints though

Nothing up our way except grey skies and only +5C.
Supposed to be sunny and a balmy +11 tomorrow.
I may try a short ride.
Gotta get my wood hauled for the winter yet.
So much to do, so little time.
