It is that time of year again, hurricane season. At this point Florida is dead center for Elsa. But she is likely to be only a tropical storm if and when she gets here. A lot can change in five days. We are prepared. We have bottled water and canned foods. I bought 25 gallons of gasoline for the generator. If I don't use it in the generator, I can use it in the lawn tractor, wood splitter and Mabel's scooters. We are not worried. This is just routine - a lot ot rain and wind.

If you’re worried about the path of the storm just print off a copy of the map , get a sharpie and redirect the system towards some other part of the country , like say west to Texas , and you have nothing to worry about . Saw it done last year on some news program …

ROFLMAO (y)

Well Elsa is going to dump some rain on us up here in the Canadian Maritimes. Of course right when I need to travel East.
Heading for Newfoundland on Friday, but may have to move it ahead by a day to make sure I get there, somewhat dry.
Pics to follow of course.

My friend John just got a new Ducati 950 S . He’s from NFLD so wants to get to St John’s . We may go if it’s possible to add the Trans Lab to the trip . Cabin reservations on the Ferry are getting tough already. Apparently reservations in NFLD / Labrador are way up this year . Have a great trip .
Got out last evening for a couple of hours so tool a few pix .

It is a wet day here. A little breezy; but nothing severe. Elsa stayed off shore as she passed by us. The counties on our west coast got some pretty good winds and coastal flooding. She should make landfall in about an hour and a half north of Cedar Key in the Big Bend area of Florida. Cedar Key is getting hit pretty hard right now.

By mid afternoon, our rains should let up and clearing begin. Thankfully, we have no damage.

Q, Brooke, and Rocky, the nasty weather is heading your way. Stay safe.

Heading to golf this morning , met a well illuminated big block Tenere heading for the Wood Islands Ferry , no doubt . Said to my grandson , there goes Q’s buddy heading to Nova Scotia to meet up with Q and then off to the “ Rock “:.

Elsa will be post-tropical when she is expected to pass over us Friday night and just north of where I am - if the current track holds.
Some wind and rain is expected, but not damaging winds - possibly about 75 kph (47 mph). We get winds like that all the time so it's no big deal.
However, it ain't over 'til it's over BGRIN

TUP You are so right!

Elsa passed through during the night and roughed us up a bit here on the coast, but nothing too serious. Some tree limbs down and power out in some grids.
The center passed more to the north with heavy rains; some tree damage and power outages.
As usual, a bright calm and sunny day today.
