Kevin, this is good advice. However, I do disagree with pressure washing an O ring chain. That is not a good idea as it can force moisture past the O rings. The best way that I have found to clean a modern type chain is with kerosene (paraffin) and a grunge brush or parts cleaning brush. And clean both sprockets thoroughly. Remove the primary cover; a lot of crud builds up behind that cover.

There is always the "light is right" theory .....so throw anything that isn't absolutely needed overboard! Mirrors....lights.....bodywork..... rear brake rotor and caliper (very heavy) passenger pegs, turn signals all that stuff, who needs em.
You can lose like 25 lbs or so off the bike and increase your speed.....for free.....

Yes, true but if you drop ENOUGH weight, and are fast enough......and if you live in an area where the police will suspend a chase when you exceed 120 mph (good info to have----really) then who cares about fines........its the Soccer mom doing the illegal U-turn while talking on the phone AND yelling at the kids in front of you....at 120+ you have to worry about

A Tiger will not do those speeds.....really it won't I swear........really........

However,,,, (funny story) the Tiger DID get me OUT of a ticket once in the Keys. Cop who pulled me over was in a cage cop car that day as his BMW was in the shop, and after a lengthly Q&A session about HP and tank size and various other things, I got a "stern" warning with a wink
