Why is it so hard to find highway pegs that work with the stock engine crash bars. Would it be better to buy a different crash bar set up and then find pegs?

Probably because engine guards on cruisers are a lot thicker than the crash bars on your Tiger, and that's where hwy pegs are predominately used. Don't know if you can get a newer crash bar for your bike that will be thick enough. Better off getting a shop to fabricate a bracket that will work with your hwy pegs.

I used the MFW mounts with Kuryakyn pegs.on my 2012 800 XC.

The problem with the crash bars is there not a straight line to mount the pegs to and have them look straight and even with the other side
