Hi, RR. Great to hear from you. So glad you had a good trip. Fantastic photos. I was out in Redmond in June and did some riding up that way. Gorgeous country. Did you take a bike out there?

I will pass you words on to Mae Lyne. She is doing pretty well; but today is not a good day for her. She has a lot of pain. I think she over did it yesterday.

Stay in touch, my friend.

It is. Maybe the most stunning place on the planet up north there. Every time i see a movie shot in canada i'm always stunned by the beauty. You can smell the fresh clear air and feel the crispness just looking at those pics. If i weren't so whipped when it comes to cold i would probably rather live there than just about anywhere.

Afraid of a little cold :y26: oh dear, what a bunch of wimps :y43: :y23: :y21:
But seriously, last week they had several inches of snow in Jasper. That's even a little early for me :oh:
That far north and that high up, early snow is quite normal. When I was in Jasper on 4 July they has a blast of cold air and mild snow just a couple of days before we warrived, but it was gone in 24 hours.

It was a tad 'chilly' but we managed to beat the snow. It snowed before we got there and after we left. After 25+ years in FL I don't think I could make it thru a cold winter.

It get's better: :ya2:

Part II - The Prairie

Heading out of Seattle towards Banff is a long drive with not much to see except small farming communities, highway 1 in Canada is the same. Eventually you encounter a massive prairie. It's not like the ones I've seen before. They are huge with miles and miles of vistas that make most prairies I've seen insignificant. The pictures below cannot capture the magnitude of the BC prairie.
