Welcome from Altrincham UK. If you're nearby get in touch. Great bike. I've got a 2011 America and never really want to get off it. I still smile when I look at her just parked up. Get ready for admirers.

Hi. Yeh took out for first ride yesterday was impressed with it.. deffo lighter than my previous bike Kawasaki vn900 custom. It felt good..only downside is I have loads of locks I normally put on my brake discs. But on this bike the holes are too small. How would u secure yours..

I check the diameter of the holes and searched ebay. I also purchased a lever lock that wraps around the throttle grip and encloses the front brake lever in the on position, which is great as long as you don't have heated grips because they are approx 40mm diameter . Otherwise when I'm out it's the fork lock and don't wander out of sight. At home I have a massive Abus lock through a wall anchor at the back of my house. In all honesty I don't think these bikes rank high on the thieves shopping list.

[/sold mine last year to get my T120----it was a lovely ride, heavy mind. Its like a sunny day on two wheels-----it rolls along at 50-60 sweetly, typically triumph it handles really well (for a cruiser configuration) push yourself forwards like the 'wild one' and you can hustle through bends ----leaves 1200 Harleys in the mirrors (although they catch up on straights). accelerates well until you reach 70 plus ---then its just like a family car. The exhausts are really quiet-----but beware the triumph aftermarket ones---they bust your ears , are not street legal and are actually unpleasant, ----maybe something to do with the RPM/torque. I looked for adjustable baffle exhausts which would have solved all the issues BUT they were horrendously expensive, especially after just buying a set. SO I modified the set i had with 3mm alloy discs, stainless scouring pads, and some threaded rod-----brilliant, nice burbly note without too much noise. Unfortunately , they were still stamped with 'not for highway use' ----which was noticed at the second MOT. and the bike failed . I bought the bike with footboards-----not recommended, they are at completely the wrong angle (for the rider) . The high cissy bar worked as did the leather panniers----although they need a bit of attention to keep them watertight and looking good. I had the bar and spotlights-----cosmetic value only. I also fitted Bikesafe running lights to the light bar THEY worked were easy to fit and very unobtrusive. The riders seat is uncomfortable after 30 mins or so ---its too sculpted and has no lumber support ---the pillion is fine. I did a 200mile all day trip to Oban and back ----keeping pace with my mates on various nakeds ---it was hard work but did it---had to shuffle around to keep bum from really hurting. All in all I really enjoyed the bike, especially when using it as designed . Cruise, and it gives you all the great sensations that you expect. Hope you enjoy yours .

Original silencers on “Roy” were way too quiet. Picked up a pair of aftermarket “cocktail shaker” mufflers on eBay ( item no. 202783942121) for AUD99. Add a pair of stainless steel link pipes (eBay item no. 293473750471) for another AUD99 and heat shields (352685991452 - AUD30.40). Pack the mufflers with 5 stainless scouring pads each and you’re good to go. Great sound. Not too loud. Sounds like a motorcycle, rather than a pfaff (sewing machine).
