I am having a small problem getting logged on. The past three or four times, the system will not accept my password on the first try. At least I'm not gettin' kicked out.

I guess Dave worked out all the bugs on this new forum, I'm finally staying logged in!

That was a workout logging in every time I clicked on anything.

Yes we finally have our domain name working the way it should

You don’t need to logoff each time. If you just leave yourself logon each time you return you should not need to logon again

On the old forum i never had to do anything except open the site and i was logged in. This one keeps my name and password in the login fields, but i do have to login. I had a java script i could use to stay permanently logged in and i may have used that on the olds site. not sure if thats why it kept me logged or not, but the script got lost here at work so i have to remember to email it here from home and see if that does it. but then the site is fast so clicking the button each time i visit is no big deal anyways.

Ahhh.thats it ! When the site address changed it no longer saved cookies for it because i had the old site address set as an "allowed" cookie in FF privacy options. Thanks.

EDIT: looks like that wasn't it after all. I was so sure. Guess i need to use that script i have at home.

I would suggest trying the following. Delete your bookmark in your favorites and remark the new address. Also look at clearing out your cookies. The domain name has undergone a huge change since we have moved and how it is now.

I really don't want to do that because i have too many cookies allowed and it would be a lot of trouble. And the issue is no big deal. On my home PC however it's a pain. I have FF3 at home, and it does not even save my login so i have to type it every time ! Even tried that script and it doesn't work. I would have never installed 3 if i know how bad it is. Everyone says it's better, but i have had nothing good happen with it and several things to the bad including this.

That worked ! But this is very odd. I tried pasting triumphtalk.com in to the address bar and that worked. then i tried opening the page from my bookmarks and it didn't work. So i looked at the address in the bookmark properties and it was not "triumphtalk.com". I could swear i pasted triumphtalk.com in the shortcut's properties just days ago ! Well, whatever reason it works now. thanks Dave.

:y23: We have been playing hide and seek with this domain name so latterly and the one old URL is being forwarded to this one. So if you still have the old one you would get here but as soon as you hit a direct link on this site it would want you to log in again :y18:
