Here's What I Did This Weekend - Part 2

Not to be outdone by Adrian and Shannon, Mabel and I tied the knot on Thursday, June 21st and took our honeymoon trip to the mountains in north Georgia, North Carolina, and Tennessee.

Mabel had never been to mountains here in the eastern US. We rode the Dragon two up and did a a 226 mile/364 kilometers on Saturday. I will post the wedding pics later; we do not have them yet.

We got back back home to the winds and rain of tropical storm Debbie. I have not even been able to unload the Tiger yet.

When I saw your comment on Adrian's post I almost asked if you tied the knot too but thought it was probably something else. Should have gone with my first thought.

I hope the weather isn't a sign of a stormy relationship. Just kidding, I've got a feeling y'all will make a happy couple.

did you know about Adrian and Shannon at the time or was this just a pure fluke,I mean what are the odds of two seperate members on a mc forum getting married on the quiet on the same thursday.

Yes, I did know they were getting married. Mabel and I been planning to get married toward the end of June and she was able to get Thursday and Friday off last week. We got married around her work schedule. It was just a coincidence that it was the same day and Adrian and Shannon tied the knot.

Thank you, Kevin. When Mabel and I were discussing marriage with Dad, he wanted us to marry on June 21st which was his and Mom's wedding day back in 1942. While he was not here to see it; we were able to follow his wishes and I feel he was with us. We both felt good that we honored his wishes.

This is a short video I shot with the GoPro hand held at the bottom of the Dragon on the Tennessee side. The lady in the video taking photos is Mabel. Unfortunately, I did not get any videos of the ride. I thought I was recording; but I had in inadvertently set the GoPro on still photos.
