Ever since I had the dealer install the BC Sleeper Exhaust and the Arrow 2into2 tune as recommended by BC on my 2011 T100 EFI a few months ago--my bike has a tendency to stall. It even happens after the bike is warmed up. It usually occurs when releasing the clutch in 1st gear. Then when I try and restart it it won't start--sometimes it will begin to start and quit other times it won't kick in at all. So far, it always starts eventually either on the 3rd or 4th time and/or after waiting for a minute or so and restarting. Sometimes after it is warm, whether I just turned it off or it sits for a few minutes, I can push the starter and nothing happens. I don't think it is the starter--I think it has something to do with the fueling. But I'm not sure. Oh, it has no problems starting when the choke is pulled out. And it is over 100 degrees here everyday, does air temp have anything to do with it?

My dealership her is awful--they are primarily a Victory dealership and really have no interest in Triumphs nor know much about them. So I am reluctant to take it back to them. Plus, I heard that Triumph recently came and removed all their bikes from the dealership--so I don't know if they are even operating as a Triumph dealer anymore. This means I would have to go to Oklahoma City to get it serviced. I have a local bike shop that I use for most of my service, but they do not do dyno testing/mapping.

Thoughts? Is it most likely the ECU tune/map? Should I find a shop that does dyno testing? Take it to the OKC Triumph dealership and have it remapped with the Arrow 2into2 or check that it was properly tuned? So far I can always get it started and it runs great thereafter, but it stalled a few times on me today on my way out. Quite frustrating.

thanks,

Chad

I cant offer anything conclusive Chad, other than agreeing it is to do with the fueling.
I do however feel it is a dealer issue that you should not have to put up with.
I think I would contact Triumph about who is your nearest dealer and get them to sort it,you have paid for the re-map,it should be right.

Well if you change your pipes you normally need to do some type of tuning with it be it carbs or EFI. So I would say you would most likly be looking at getting it remapped for the pipes and that should not be an issue. Have a look at this Triumph Bonneville T100 Sleeper Silencers

British Customs takes the guess work out. British Customs has tested and developed jetting guides (carb models) and fuel injection maps (EFI Models) that work specifically for each performance package.

Chad, I agree that it sounds like a fueling issue. I would say the mapping is not right. You are going need a dyno run with an exhaust sniffer. It could be some trash plugging the injection system somewhere. I suggest a trip to Oklahoma City. You can also try to find an independent shop with a dyno, which is what I would do.

Spoke with OKC service and I will take it in as soon as I can, but like a lot of shops they are understaffed and backed up for weeks. I had the Triumph shop here in Tulsa (which is now defunct) install the pipes and they were supposed to map it with the Arrow 2into2 map as suggested by British Customs. But who knows.

Idling at 1000-1050 RPMs. I did adjust it a bit and that seemed to help--I increased it just a tad. It was running at about 950. I changed the oil/oil filter and it seems to run much smoother (3500 total miles, last changed at 500). I was supposed to take it to OKC Friday but decided it was too hot for the 2 hour drive there and back (around 110* F). Wait til it gets cooler. Again, it seems to be running/fueling much better since oil change.

I dont see the oil and filter doing anything for the stalling trouble
Up the idle to 1100 and see what happens , Thats where mine is
