What is the larger picture of where the two nipples are?
On the bottom one, that might be some type of vacuum tube connection. Is there a missing hose on the airbox? If there’s no place to plug a hose to on the airbox, that is probably a hold over from an earlier generation version. Is this a running motorcycle?

That is absolutely brilliant many thanks to everyone. No I brought the bike as a no in runner as after being off work for the last 15 months that was all I could afford. But I like to have a tinker. The bike turns over nice but doesn't fire. I can't hear anything coming from the fuel pump so if anyone has any ideas that would be great have a great day everyone

Did it have fuel in the tank when you turned it over? I’ve read that in cars you shouldn’t turn the ignition and try to run on an empty tank as this might ruin the pump. The fuel is a lubricant. Check fuses, and any related components to the pump. Might want to Google how to test a motorcycle fuel pump. Get a bucket and see if it’s moving fuel at all. Disconnect the wiring and check if there’s power to it. Those would be my starting points. I’m guessing if nothing odd is between those points the pump is bad.

It would be interesting to see pictures and also history of the motorcycle as you know it. There’s links here on the forum on bringing to life old motorcycles, probably in the classic section. Might be worth a read.
