Hello, I'm ''Finnish Swedish'' (Swedish father, Finnish-Swedish mother), still a young woman. I have trained in figure skating since six years old (my passion). Today I'm training synchronized skating (only half seriously). My first bigger bike was Moto Guzzi Nevada 750ie (year model 2005), which I changed to Triumph Tiger 800 (year model 2013) now on this winter. I hope I can ask some technical questions here (for help), even ''stupid ones'' (my rights as a blonde?)

Hello and welcome to TT from the east coast of Canada BBEER
Cool that you are a figure skater and also very cool that you ride a Tiger TUP TUP
There are no "stupid" questions - just honest questions from those wanting to learn more, so ask all you wish and I'm sure the lads will try to help.
This is a very civil, helpful and friendly forum.

:five: Welcome, from Northern California. I look at blondes being the "brightest bulb in the pack".

Useless information below:
I was raised told I was Norwegian/Swedish/German; did the genealogy test with 23andMe, and they tell me it's actually Norwegian/Swedish/Finnish/German. Probably, some of the Swedes the Norwegians married had predecessors that married Finns. :giggle:

My first question will concern the extra led lights I bought to my Tiger. So my bike does not have Triump Tiger 800's original extra led lights. I bought cheaper ones (but still quite expensive, about 100euros).

How should I connect those lights the best ways. I prefer the idea that the led lights can be on only as the power is on. Even as light set has on/off switcher. I will ask that and put the pictures.

But it is still winter here (last night -14C), some 45cm snow on the ground and 50cm ice covers our lakes. So no hurries.

Before borders and nations Finnic people lived in much of the northern areas of each country. Not extremely surprising welcome to the family cousin! LoL.

This is off-topic now, but there was also a bigger group of Finns (so called Kven people) who moved to live in Northern Norway in the 18th and 19th centuries.

When it comes to Swedes, today almost all of them have a tiny part of Finnic blood (except the most southern corner/Scania). My own father comes from there (Malmö).

Ja kyllä minä ymmärrän suomea, vaikka Pohjanmaalta olenkin.

Yes, do know about the Kven people as well. I’m a Savo-Karjalainen myself. Father’s paternal side from Karelia, rest from Savonia.
I’m sure your questions will be answered by the folk here.

You should post your questions in the Tiger section of the forum where the Tiger owners will see them.
Not that many will see them in this introduction thread.
