I purchased in 1969 a 1965 triumph Tiger 650 for $450.00. I bobbed the fenders, removed the chrome tank rack, added 10 inch over forks, a custom seat and shorty mufflers. I painted it metal flake purple and was king of the road. It never leaked oil which was common back then. Since then as the years passed I've had a 1970 Honda SL350, a 1972 Yamaha XS650, a couple dirt bikes, a 2008 Harley Sportster, a 2008 Harley Fatboy, a 2007 Victory, a 2012 Yamaha Stryker and finally a 2013 Triumph Speedmaster. I have to say I've come full circle from the 1965 Triumph and the 2013 Triumph is the smoothest of all the bikes I've had. It's Sapphire Blue/Black, had 3250 miles on it when I bought it this September. So that's my story and why I joined this forum.
