I have owned 18 bikes over the last 45 years. So been doing this a while. Never owned a Triumph! An error on my part I think...
I Just bought a 1996 Trophy 900. I would like to link up with some folks here that own one of these and have had it long enough to help me with some questions and just general discussion about the bike.
Also, I got a good deal on this bike because the left side - Primarily the lower left fairing is damaged - cracked, has a hole in it, etc. So I need a replacement. It is BRG color. Any suggestions? Sorry if this is a riding related question....? I am not riding it.... I am looking at it... so hope this comment about my "new" bike is ok.
Also, I live in N Georgia - Cherokee County. Any of you guys around here?
One more thing... so far I love the ride and mechanically it seems great. I just need to park it so that folks can only see the right side...
Thanks
Bill Kline

Hard finding parts for older lower volume bikes.

Hi Steve
Your comment:
Hard finding parts for older lower volume bikes.
Man o man... I am finding that out. My 2004 Yamaha Roadstar is simple - parts are everywhere. Soooooo.... I am looking at this Triumph Trophy 900 as a fun, but slightly challenging project. I am retired so.... this is what I wanted, right? a fun project bike. And best part... knock on wood.... it runs and handles great so far. PS: it was 87F here the other day; went on ride to cool off... how bout U?

Thought about taking the damaged parts to a place like a fiberglass/polycarbonate repair shop for rebuild? Any bike or body shop would be able to or point you in the right direction for a reputable shop.
It was NOT 87F here, for months, but I did go for a short ride on Sunday with my wife. Was about 15 Celsius/59F.:ice:
