Hello everyone… After a long hiatus from Triumph Motorcycles… I am back! I’ve been riding since 2006 and have had a variety of bikes, most recently a Yamaha FJR, which I just rode across the country on a 4500 mile trip. While it was an amazing experience, I don’t think I’m gonna do that again in the near future and wanted a smaller, lighter bike for riding around the area, the occasional commute, and a few long weekend rides. I loved the Triumph Thunderbird that I owned a few years back and thought that the T120 would be the one for me this time around! I really like the bike so far after putting about 1000 miles on it, but will definitely look for some advice on how to tweak it a bit to suit my particular needs. This forum seems to be filled with knowledgeable members eager to help and so I joined it, hoping that I can both help others as well as gain some good tips from you folks! Looking forward to being part of the triumph community once again!

You definitely chose well. The Black was my second choice after my Speed Twin. Still not out of the realm of possibility for me in the future.

Right now I wouldn't worry about and mods other than maybe invest in some sliders. Ride the piss out of it and spend a year figuring out which direct you want to go.
