andto the forum from Lincolnshire. You'll not go wrong with the Legend, I've had my Thunderbird since 95. Like you, brought up on late 70's and 80's bikes. Suzuki's mainly, all down to Barry Sheene. TS 185, GT 250, 2 GS 750's, GSX 1400
Just bought myself a new 650 V Strom too.
As to the rear mudguard, my guess is that the rear sub frame is different, the legend is a bit lower than my Thunderbird, so you best have a look at the rear end of my Thunderbird to help you make a decision. Hope that these will help you.
