I am new to the Triumph brand after 40 years on jap bikes. I found a like new 2014 Explorer XC with just 2000 miles on the clock. So far I am loving the bike. I come from a motox background. I grew up racing all around central Florida on YZ's and CR's. I have owned many dirt, dual sport, and street bikes in the past. This is my first adventure bike. I have wanted to buy one for a while, and the right deal finally came available. We have a small group of big bore adv bikes that meet early Sunday mornings to ride the local twisties, and eat lunch somewhere off the beaten path. All street for now, but I plan to spoon on a set of 50/50 tires sometime in the future and explore some easy hard packed trails. I'll be posting many questions for the experts asap.

Great find on you low mileage bike.
If those are the original Tourance Next tires on your bike they will wear oddly on the front. Lots of threads on that on the interweb.
Also there was a recall on the early Explorers for head replacement. Should check with your local dealer to find out if yours was one of the affected ones and whether or not it was replaced under the recall.

I did quite a bit of research on this bike before dropping 10K hard earned cash. The VIN was well outside the range of effected units. I called the factory and gave them the VIN before purchase, and the only record was a side stand switch recall. The bike runs perfect and the original owner was a Ford master tech.
That's great. One less worry.
They are great fun bikes. Bit of a handful off the pavement, but can be managed. Tires help alot.
